Academic advising appointments
Thank you for your interest in advising at the VCU School of Dentistry. The Office of Admissions team is here to help you navigate the dental school admissions process. Our website is a great resource and will answer many of your basic questions about admission requirements. We highly encourage you to visit our website before booking an advising appointment.
If you have questions about prerequisites, application process, or interviewing, set up an advising appointment by clicking the link below. Appointments are currently virtual via Zoom.
Please consider the following before you proceed:
- These appointments are intended for prospective students of the four-year DDS program. Please contact idp@vcu.edu with questions regarding the International Dentist Program.
- Active applicants are not permitted to schedule an advising appointment
- It is strongly encouraged that you attend advising BEFORE the beginning of the cycle during which you plan to apply
- Advising appointments are for candidates preparing to apply in the future. If you have already been accepted into a dental program, congratulations! There is no need to seek an appointment with us.
The admissions office also hosts VCU School of Dentistry tours throughout the year. Attending an open house is also a great way to learn more about the admission process. Click the link below to use our calendar to select a date for an upcoming tour you would like to attend.
Rules and restrictions
- Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accommodate walk-in appointments.
- Students are limited to one advising session per academic semester.
